Unit 531's Non-Life Master Tournament will be held at Esplanade on Saturday June 8th. There will be 2 sessions: 10am and 2:30pm. You may play in either or both. If you need SILVER points to advance your ranking, this is the place to get it. Only those Non-Life Masters with less than 500 masterpoints may win masterpoints in this tournament. If you have more than 500 masterpoints (or are already a Life Master) you may play, but you and your partner will not be eligible for masterpoint awards. Donna is now teaching Beginning Bridge 103, which started on May 13th. The remaining classes will be held on Monday May 20th and Thursday May 30th from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. You can drop in for $20. Walk-ins are always welcome!! Unit 531 will hold their Unit Game at Esplanade tomorrow, Sunday afternoon, May 19th. There are usually 2 sections, an Open and a limited (399 masterpoints and below). The game begins at 1:00pm. Dessert and snacks are provided. Memorial Day is coming up at the end of this month. To honor our Veterans, we will not charge them to play here at the Sunday Afternoon game on May 26th. That's right ... on Memorial Day weekend, Veterans play FREE!!! [Note: Donna will be out of town that day, so regular snacks will be served.] Jade and Donna are offering private bridge lessons to individuals and/or groups. Individual lessons are play lessons at sanctioned games (any level - club, sectional, regional, national); fees and venues are arranged on a case-by-case basis. Group lessons are usually held at Esplanade, but may be held at your home. The group lessons are a minimum of 2 hours, with a maximum of 4 people. We teach all levels, from rank beginner to very experienced, and tailor the lessons to your specific needs. Reminder - we have a new 299er game on Thursday mornings at 9:30am. Cedric is directing ... no lesson, all bridge!!! Norman Schwartz continues his Eddie Kantar series every Wednesday morning 9:30am-11:30am. Norman will be teaching Two Over One bidding over the next several classes. If you stay to play the 12:30 game you pay half price. Continental breakfast is served. Our Mentor / Mentee program continues every Thursday evening. We've added a sign-up to our website at www.EsplanadeBridgeCenter.com to request a Mentor or a Mentee. The mentee pays their own entry, and pays a $5 entry for the mentor. BY THE WAY --- this is an OPEN game. Anyone can play :) We are continuing our Wednesday evening (6-8pm) and Friday afternoon (1:15-3:15pm) Supervised Play sessions. Donna teaches most sessions -- with a little help from Jade now and then :) Don't forget -- we have a 299er game on Tuesday mornings at 10am.
